Essay: Sandra Cisneros and the Use of the Grotesque

I develop an analysis of two poems in Cisneros’ Loose Women, her collection of chicano poetry. I encourage the reader to investigate Cisneros use of traditionally grotesque images as a method of segregating her traditional Catholic upbringing with sexual liberation and freedom from binary gender roles. Fiction Excerpt: The Little People of Wahkiakum County

This is a book in process, but an excellent example of my fiction writing skills. Written through the eyes of a grieving child, this book chronicles the changing life of Henri as she learns to live in and love the wild life in Southwest Washington State.
