I develop an analysis of two poems in Cisneros’ Loose Women, her collection of chicano poetry. I encourage the reader to investigate Cisneros use of traditionally grotesque images as a method of segregating her traditional Catholic upbringing with sexual liberation and freedom from binary gender roles.
